This page shows details about rebuilding the engine during the original
restoration of the car as well as some improvements that have not been
covered elsewhere. As part of the car's restoration, I rebuilt the engine using mostly stock parts with the exception of the pistons and the camshaft. I installed JE forged pistons with a 9.5:1 compression ratio. I also installed a Metric Mechanic sport cam into an otherwise stock head. Here are several pictures I took while taking the engine apart after it was removed from the car during the restoration. I used these pictures to document where everything goes on the engine to help me assemble the engine.
